Discombobulated,
Out of sorts,
The mind plays tricks
In candlelight’s flicker
As time rolls by
Slowly, and on the fly
I reach out and grab
Your hand, the sky drab
And cold, yet you
Are warm and inviting
Though you cannot stay, and I,
In my haze, cannot
