Beauty can’t be limited
By time
Each crashing wave
Calling for her to drop her masks
Wade in and reveal herself
To her own expansive depths
Awaken. Heal. Inspire.
Beauty can’t be limited
By time
Each crashing wave
Calling for her to drop her masks
Wade in and reveal herself
To her own expansive depths
The world rushes by
And I in my cave
Long to be a part of it
To breathe in its beauty
And taste its yearning for life
But only as the me
You don’t think you want to know
Would that be alright?
Who are you to shine your light
She whispered
Who are you to share your beauty
In an ugly world
Who are you
With grit and determination between her teeth
She shouted
Who am I not
To do all this and more
Where, in this big, beautiful world,
Did you realize that you were one
With the flowering trees,
The tiniest ant,
The most majestic lion,
The mountaintop itself?
When did they speak to you,
With cries and longing
Of their tragic hopes for this world,
Shattered, yet optimistic,
Their existence proof
There is beauty still around us,
Their hope a pathway to graze
Yet do not ignore what else they bring,
Their righteous anger
For a world gone mad,
Their peace,
A path that leads us home

The Angels remind us that beauty is in the in between moments, the stolen slices of thought and sight woven together into something new and bigger than us. Beauty is in the willingness to open our eyes to that which was previously unseen.
The Angels remind us that we can always do something about the suffering and despair around us. Hug someone. Call someone. Display some beautiful art. Smile. Raise the energy of one and we raise the energy of many.
