What will it take,
In a world that won’t shut up,
In a world that trains us
To be noisy and distracted,
To never be alone with our innermost thoughts,
With our silence,
Lest we are afraid,
Lest we hear our souls
Speak the truth
In a world which always seems to lead us
Down the path most traveled
And most intrusive in our thoughts,
How do we quiet the inner mind?
In seeking answers
We find that we create them as we go,
As we go deeper,
As we leave rational thought behind,
We find the mosaic of the inner mind
Deep in the silence,
Without influence from the world,
In silence we find peace
